Ben Davis (he/him) is a lifelong Lafayette resident, where he lives with his spouse and two children. He earned his MBA in IT Management from Western Governor's University in 2018, and has made a career in IT infrastructure.
Ben loves getting around town on his recumbent bike, and likes maintaining his own vehicles. Public transportation and trains have always been great interests of his, and he would like to someday experience life in a less car-dependent community. Some of his eclectic influences include Steve Irwin, Fred Rogers, Eugene Debs, and Weird Al Yankovic. Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon and Quasimodo are some of his favorite fictional inspirations.
He looked at the lack of viable challengers to MAGA in his district and decided to adhere to one of his favorite quotes: “be the change you want to see in the world.” Ben believes that all humans deserve to have their basic needs met, but the capitalist duopoly isn't designed to provide them. His hope is that running on the Socialist Party of Indiana ballot line will start to turn that trend around.
